How is makesevent different from a generic ticketing tool?
makesevent runs the whole loop a premium event actually needs — registration, signed QR tickets, offline door check-in and PDPA-compliant data — in one system built for Hong Kong, with a specialist who sets it up with you.
Do you charge a monthly fee or commission per ticket?
No. Pricing is per event, scaled to your event's size and length. There's no recurring subscription and no per-ticket commission.
Is guest data PDPA-compliant?
Yes. Guest data is hosted in Hong Kong and follows a PDPA-compliant retention and erasure lifecycle, including right-to-erasure requests.
What happens if the venue Wi-Fi drops?
Check-in keeps working. Staff scan and check guests in offline, and everything syncs automatically the moment connectivity returns.
Can guests register in Chinese and English?
Yes. Your registration page, confirmation emails and tickets can be presented in the languages your event needs.
How do guests receive their tickets?
Each guest is emailed a digitally signed QR ticket automatically on registration, which is scanned at the door for check-in.
Can we accept local payment methods?
Yes. makesevent supports manual and offline payment methods common in Hong Kong, alongside standard online options.
How many staff can check guests in?
It depends on your package — from 2 seats on Small up to unlimited on Large. We'll right-size this in your quotation.
How do we get started?
